This site has beautiful posters...but with a de-motivational bent! Just something humorous to help us all through the election and economic slow-down. Enjoy!

Oil Not a Fossil Fuel?
This is a jump station of interesting articles regarding the origins of oil. It may not be a fossil fuel after all, but rather is formed deep within the earth through a different process. The Russians have had great success using this theory to become one of the top two oil producing nations in the world.
It seems that Titan, the large moon of Saturn, has huge lakes of liquid hydrocarbon methane. At least a dozen or so of them are each individually larger than all the known reserves on earth. Ever heard of dinosaurs or plant matter on Titan?
Click here for the jump station. This will really make you think!

Is the Housing Market Heading Back Up?
CNBC is reporting that sales of previously owned homes rose by 5.5% last month, the largest increase since 2003. This may signal that the housing market has bottomed out and will begin to climb again. Here is the link to that story! It may be a time to take advantage of existing values before they vanish. Call me to check out The Landing!

What IS Hardiplank?
First, what is Hardiplank made of? It's true name is "Fiber-cement Siding," which means that it is a combination of cellulose fibers along with cement-like materials. In other words, it's partly wood, partly cement. Break a piece of Hardiplank and inside you will see a brittle core interlaced with wood fibers. Hardiplank has the following characteristics:
- It is a "Green" building material considered favorable for the environment.
- It lasts a long time. Hardiplank is warrantied for 50 years, but can last longer with proper maintenance.
- It is fire resistant (Not fireproof).
- It looks like wood and is easily painted.
- It costs somewhere between vinyl siding and brick.
